In 1973, Huang discovered that he had diabetes. At the time, his urinary sugar level was very high (+++) and his blood sugar level was 340 (old unit of measurement). Soon thereafter he was treated with Western Medicine, which then turned in to liver poisoning in 1992. His major complications were loss of vision as well as numbness of the hands and feet. The doctors then recommended insulin injections. With his health constantly decreasing Huang started taking Zutrol in March 2001. After 1 month of taking Zutrol, Huang noticed a decrease in his blood sugar levels. His levels went from 11.1 to 6.5! To his surprise his blood sugar levels did not drop too low (common fluctuation with conventional medicine). Huang had his energy back and the numbness in his limbs disappeared. He has since decreased his insulin dosage from 24 units a day to just 4, while continuing to use Zutrol.
